In yeast and rat, Sec15 is part of a multiprotein complex that is required for targeted exocytosis.[supplied by OMIM, Apr 2004] Function: Component of the exocyst complex involved in the docking of exocytic vesicles with fusion sites on the plasma membrane. Subunit: The exocyst complex is composed of SEC3, SEC5, SEC6, SEC8, SEC10, SEC15, EXO70 and EXO84. Similarity: Belongs to the SEC15 family.
